The performance DECIDE reminded us once again how precious life is and how important the decisions we make are, both for ourselves and for others. It was more than a performance. It was an invitation to reflect, to engage in conversation, and above all, to embrace our shared humanity."

Following the extraordinary response to the premiere in Ljubljana in May this year, we were quickly able to arrange a performance in Murska Sobota, a place that holds a very special place in our hearts. We feel at home here. This was already our fifth appearance on the stage of the magnificent Park Theatre. Over the years, unique and unbreakable bonds have been formed here with many wonderful people.

We are delighted that these events are organised together with the Slovenian Transplant Association, which, through its dedication and professionalism, plays an important role in raising awareness of transplant medicine and supporting patients in need of organ transplantation.

At the head of this remarkable organisation is the tireless and ever-positive Nina Žitek Juršič, whose passion and energy inspire both the members of the association and the wider public. Together with a team of dedicated and compassionate individuals, she works tirelessly to improve the quality of life of patients facing the challenges associated with transplantation.

There is truly a great deal of work to be done. The organisation carries out a wide range of activities, from educational workshops and seminars to public events and awareness campaigns aimed at increasing understanding of the importance of organ donation.

Every event is an opportunity to connect with different groups involved in this field and to share valuable information, experiences, and stories. Our goal is always to ensure that as many people as possible have the opportunity to see this production and that its message remains with them long after the final curtain falls.

We believe that, through the right approach and with the support of the media, we can reach a broad audience and encourage people to reflect on the importance of organ donation and the ways in which each individual can help save lives.

For this reason, our commitment goes beyond simply organising events. We strive to build lasting connections and create meaningful memories that inspire people to take action.

Our goal is for every attendee to leave with new knowledge, renewed inspiration, and perhaps even the decision to register as a potential organ donor through the Slovenia-transplant Register, or to become actively involved in supporting transplant patients.

Together, we are building a community that is informed, compassionate, and ready to help those who need it most. ❤️

This time, the performers on stage were Ajda Šterbenc, Ana Mužič, Eva Bitežnik, Hana Štraus, Maša Štefanič, Sara Brčvak, Sofija Safronova, Tia Uršič Popovski, and Katja Vidmar. The sound, video projection, and lighting design were provided by Albert Podrekar.

We were also honoured by the presence of the event’s honorary patron, Ms. Vlasta Nussdorfer.

A special role was played by our dear and extraordinary friend Tadeja Polanšček, who did a wonderful job as the evening’s host and moderator. Tadeja’s life story is portrayed in our performance Why Me?, and in 2017 she herself joined us on the stage of this theatre as a dancer.

Among the distinguished guests who honoured us with their presence were Ms. Marja Dolamič, Governor of the Lions Clubs Association of Slovenia; Ms. Sara Žibrat, Member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia; Ms. Polona Franko, the mother of donor Urban; Mr. Iztok Fartek, Mayor of the Municipality of Šalovci; and Mr. Damjan Anželj, Mayor of the City Municipality of Murska Sobota, who also addressed the audience.

We were additionally greeted through a video message by Dr. Andrej Gadžijev, Director of the Institute of the Republic of Slovenia for Organ and Tissue Transplantation, Slovenia-transplant.

We are deeply grateful for such a warm and heartfelt welcome, which brought us immense joy and filled us with renewed energy. Your kind words and sincere wishes encouraged us and gave us additional motivation for our artistic work. The new connections and friendships that emerged throughout this process are truly invaluable and would never have been discovered without our shared efforts and creativity. Art brings people together in a way that is difficult to describe, and that is precisely what inspires us to continue our mission.

A special thank you goes to the entire Park Theatre team, whose dedication and hard work contributed greatly to the success of our project. Their professionalism and passion for the arts were evident in every aspect of the production. We would especially like to thank the theatre technician, Denis Pozderec, whose kindness and exceptional professional support ensured that everything ran smoothly and without complications.

We would also like to thank all the supporters who made it possible to organise the reception and gathering after the performance. This opportunity was incredibly valuable, as it allowed the artists and audience members to connect, exchange thoughts and emotions, and share their impressions of the production. Moments like these are essential for the continued development of the arts and for strengthening our community.

Our sincere thanks also go to our media partners, Parada plesa, Radio Murski Val, and Vestnik, who helped us spread the word about the event. Their support was invaluable, contributing to the visibility of our work and helping our message reach even more people.
