Katja Dance Company (KDC) is a Slovenian amateur dance company founded in October 2016 by Mrs. Katja Vidmar as artistic director (high school professor, author, dancer, choreograph) and Albert Podrekar as executive director and producer.
KDC is following three main non-profit drivers:

Using the media of dance art to raise awareness on important areas of everyday lives, which seriously impact our social and living environment;•

Provide infrastructure to artists, who seek to live and develop their art and expression in the dancing domain on the stage while offering to theatres / stages and the audience a qualitative performing content;

To donate income from ticket sales to humanitarian organisations and causes

The founder of KDC, Katja Vidmar, is a dancer, choreographer and author of dance performances, otherwise a professor of Slovenian language. She devotes all of her available time and energy to various dance/artistic/sports movement projects, among which the following stand out:

the charitable dance performance Woman, with which KDC helped women and children in safe houses;

dance fairy tales My world is different!, Help!, I'm sorry!, Hug the tree! (28 performances and still performing), and our latest Think about us! dedicated to help abandoned animals in the Ljubljana animal shelter;

charitable theatrical multimedia dance performance Life is a value, which we dedicated to the Little Knight foundation, which helps young people cured of cancer and whose honorary patron is the former human rights ombudsman and former advisor to the president of the Republic of Slovenia, Mrs. Vlasta Nussdorfer,

charitable theatrical multimedia dance performance Project X, with which we helped the Association of Friends of the Youth of Ljubljana Moste Polje, the paradancer Martina Smodiš and 6-year-old Kiara, a girl with Down syndrome and a severe heart defect
