The dance story Why Me is coming to the Lisinski Hall in Zagreb this September

With great pride and joy, we announce the twelfth performance of the dance-theatre production Why Me. Seven years have passed since our wonderful collaboration with our Croatian friends. Back then, in 2018, our artistic charity project Life Is a Value achieved remarkable results. Now, we are extremely proud to once again represent Slovenian performing arts on September 19, 2025, at 8:00 PM in the small hall of the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall. Our charitable dance-theatre production Why Me will come to life once again!

A dance story that inspires.

With a performance that has graced eleven stages across Slovenia, we will bring to life—through dance, video projections, and spoken word—the story of one of the strongest women we’ve had the honor of knowing and working with over the years. This is the story of Tadeja Polanšček and her family, who are courageously facing the challenges of multiple sclerosis.

The purpose of the performance is to encourage those affected by the disease. We aim to raise awareness among a broader audience and unite people through a campaign we launched in Slovenia together with the association Let’s Understand Multiple Sclerosis. We are now continuing this effort in collaboration with the Croatian Multiple Sclerosis Association. All proceeds from the performance will be donated directly to them.

For the first time, you’ll have the opportunity to witness—through movement—what words struggle to express. Why Me is the authentic story of a person living with multiple sclerosis, conveyed through theatre and dance, with one mission: to help those living with this invisible illness.

On the eve of Croatia’s National Multiple Sclerosis Day, we are organizing this special evening dedicated to empowering and giving visibility to people living with MS in Croatia.

All proceeds will go toward support programs for individuals with multiple sclerosis in Croatia.

We are truly grateful for the exceptional support of the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Zagreb. Our excellent collaboration with members of the Croatian Multiple Sclerosis Association has shown remarkable interest in working together to organize this event. Our invitation has also been warmly received by the Slovenian Multiple Sclerosis Association, whose representatives will attend the performance. Joining us will be Vlasta Nussdorfer, as well as Tadeja and Marko Polanšček.
