Nastasja Štefanić Kralj is coming to KDC on June 16

We are happy to invite you to our studio on Sunday, June 16, 2024, when the professional musician, dancer, choreographer and music and dance pedagogue Nastasja Štefanić Kralj, who lives and works in Zagreb, will visit us.

María Matarranz de las Heras

We will organize a 3-hour contemporary dance workshop - SPIRAL FLUIDITY WORKSHOP, which will take place on June 16, starting at 11 a.m.

Content of the workshop: The main topic of the workshop is raising awareness and exploring spiral turns of movement - from simple/everyday ones to some more complex and danced variants. We will start the workshop with warm-up exercises and short improvisation tasks, in which we will use movements and strengthening of the spine, articulation of the joints and their stability. Most of the time will be devoted to moving on the floor (floor work) through dynamic changes in height. This is followed by learning short sequences through space and playing with short improvisational tasks with an emphasis on coordination.

The central part of the workshop represents the mastery of longer sequences characterized by playing with momentum, precision and speed.

The final part of the workshop will be devoted to improvisational sequences, where you will have the opportunity to independently explore the main theme and principles of this workshop and, at the same time, create joint playful group dances.
