Following the performance of DECIDE in Murska Sobota, we received the following feedback from audience members.
Sonja Passero-Kovačič ·
Thank you for such a beautiful and deeply moving performance, and thank you to everyone who works to ensure that such important topics are discussed. ❤️🙏
This September will mark 21 years since my mother became an organ donor. Through her selfless decision, she helped five people and gave them a new chance at life. ❤️
That is why your performance touched me so profoundly. Until then, organ donation had never been a topic of conversation in our family. When we suddenly found ourselves in a situation where we had to make that decision, it was one of the most difficult moments of our lives. Having to make such a decision while losing your mother is something that can hardly be put into words, because you are overwhelmed by anger, grief, sadness, and so many other emotions.
And even though so many years have passed, the questions remain. Who are the people who received her organs? How are they living today? Are they healthy? Do they ever think about the fact that someone gave them a second chance at life? ❤️ These questions will probably always stay with us.
Shortly after the donation, our family members were invited to a meeting at the hospital and to an interview, and then, more or less, everything came to an end. But for us, the story did not end there. What remained were memories, emotions, questions, and also immense pride that our mother, through her final selfless act, was able to help five people.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for creating this performance and for opening up a conversation about a topic that, in my opinion, is still not discussed enough. Most of all, thank you for showing the perspective of family members who, in the most difficult moment of their lives, are faced with a decision for which no one has ever prepared them. ❤️🙏
I will always be immensely proud of my mother, of her kindness, and of our family. ❤️🙏

Association of Transplant Recipients of Varaždin County
❤️ THANK YOU FOR ANOTHER UNFORGETTABLE EVENING – “DECIDE”
From the bottom of our hearts, we would like to thank the Slovenian Transplant Association for yet another truly beautiful and exceptionally powerful performance of DECIDE.
I have now seen the performance for the second time, and I must admit that my emotions were no less intense than they were the first time. Quite the opposite. After experiencing this story again, my convictions are even stronger, and my belief in the power of its message has grown even deeper.
This time, I did not come alone. I brought a friend who is facing one of the most important decisions of his life and is still hesitant about undergoing a kidney transplant.
Without using many words or trying to persuade him, I wanted to show him what transplantation truly means. I wanted him to see the power of transplantation, the value of a donated life, and the new opportunity that a transplant can bring to a person.
And DECIDE does exactly that.
It does not speak only through words. It speaks through movement, music, silence, emotions, and a story that simply cannot leave anyone indifferent.
During the performance, I took a moment to look at the people around me. There was hardly a person in the audience who did not shed a tear or in some other way show how deeply the performance had touched them.
That is when you truly realise how powerful this production is.
When a work of art reaches so many different people at the same moment and draws out their deepest emotions, it ceases to be just a performance.
It becomes a message.
I would especially like to thank President Nina Žitek Juršič, Vice-President Andrej Žid, and all members and friends of the Slovenian Transplant Association for their hospitality, cooperation, and friendship, which continues to grow stronger between our two organisations. 🇸🇮❤️🇭🇷
This evening also brought something else that makes us especially happy.
I had the opportunity to speak with Katja Vidmar and Albert Podrekar. During our conversation, we took the first steps and reached a preliminary agreement to try to bring DECIDE to Croatia, to Varaždin and, hopefully, also to Zagreb. 🇭🇷🇸🇮
We are particularly pleased that Katja and Albert showed great willingness and offered their full support and assistance in organising a potential Croatian tour.
There are still many discussions, agreements, and organisational steps ahead of us, but after this evening, we can promise one thing:
We will do everything in our power to give Croatian audiences the opportunity to experience DECIDE.
Because, as I said after seeing it for the first time, today I can repeat it with even greater conviction:
This is not a performance that can be adequately described.
It is a performance that must be experienced.
Our sincere thanks go to the entire team of Katja Dance Company, the Slovenian Transplant Association, Nina, Andrej, Katja, Albert, and everyone whose work allows this important message to continue reaching people.
We hope to meet again soon, in Varaždin and Zagreb. ❤️
Decide.
Talk about it.
Share your decision.
Because a single decision can mean life to someone. 🫶

Association of Kidney Patients' Societies of Slovenia
Thank you to the Slovenian Transplant Association for inviting the guests of the 2nd International Meeting of Transplant Recipients and Dialysis Patients of South-Eastern Europe to join you.
The event took place in Murska Sobota and was organised by the Federation of Kidney Patients’ Associations of Slovenia, the Kidney Patients’ Association of Pomurje, and under the auspices of the South-Eastern European Transplant Network.
We invited our international guests to attend the performance of DECIDE at the Park Theatre in Murska Sobota.
They were deeply impressed by the production. For them, it was an exceptionally emotional experience because, as transplant and dialysis patients, they understand firsthand what transplantation means: a new chance at life, renewed hope, and a future.
Participants from North Macedonia, Serbia, Croatia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina expressed a strong desire to see this performance presented in their own countries as well, provided that the spoken and written content could be translated into their respective languages.
DECIDE is a performance that has left a profound mark on all of us.
Through its artistic power, emotional depth, and important message, it creates a space for meaningful conversations about transplantation, organ donation, and human solidarity.
A heartfelt thank you to all the creators, the Slovenian Transplant Association, and the entire Katja Dance Company team for an unforgettable evening that touched us deeply.
THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS! ❤️
