We just finished the 2023 - 2024 dance season, but we are already thinking about the future, so that you too can find something for yourself and join us.
Our own workouts will not change much. You can join us again every Monday at 6 p.m. for Endurance and Well-Being Exercise. Katja Vidmar has been practicing for 25 years. Exercise for well-being helps us start the week easier, energizes us, gets the heart going and trains the muscles to be active, while stretching and strengthening exercises shape the body so that it becomes firm and ready for everyday efforts. Exercise is suitable for both sexes and different ages! We recommend it both to beginners who want to start regular exercise in a pleasant way and to develop a relationship with their body, as well as to athletes who want to prepare their body holistically and thus avoid injuries. And all this with a lot of good will and, above all, persistence. During the exercises, the first half will be devoted to cardio exercise, endurance exercises and training of individual muscle groups, and the second half to stretching, flexibility, strengthening and relaxation. In the meantime, we will set ourselves another fun challenge and encourage each other while hanging out.
On Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m., we invite you to the Dance class for Women, which is intended for women who simply love to dance - always and everywhere. We will dance different dance genres - cha cha cha, salsa, bachato, mambo, pop, tango, as well as a mix of different dance styles... we choose the music we like, put together a choreography and already dance - live and via zoom (for those who want to dance from home or abroad).
Jazz Fusion for adults will be held this season every Wednesday starting at 6:30 p.m. (90 min.). It is intended for male and female dancers who used to dance (have some prior knowledge of jazz), maybe gave up a little in the meantime and gave priority to other things in life, but since we dancers cannot do without dancing, we would like to continue and join the group We will dance dance stories from lyrical jazz, fusion of other dance genres, to energetic rhythms and choreographies. The class will be led by Sara Brčvak, who dances and performs in all our dance performances and loves dancing. After the warm-up and diagonals, pirouette exercises... she will also teach you several shorter choreographies.
Our ballet for students and adults has become well established on Sundays at 6 p.m., where we invite all adults, students, and dancers to refresh their ballet skills. With Sara Brčvak, you will improve your posture, train your coordination and endurance. By improving the technique, it is then easier to express yourself through movement and surpass yourself, and indulge in music and dance in a pleasant atmosphere among pleasant people. Through repeating and adding elements, we manage to coordinate body and mind in the harmony and beauty of ballet.
We start training in September and look forward to your visit, new and existing friendships and collaborations. The year will be extremely interesting, because, as is our custom, we will spice it up with periodical workshops of renowned dance experts and interesting people, we will once again organize dance miniatures, where you will have the opportunity to show your dance creations to your loved ones at the right performance. We will include those interested in our existing or future dance productions for children and adult audiences.
We are surrounded by wonderful people, we do unique things and we are in love with our own spaces that radiate our past work and creation. Many emotional moments happened here, especially a lot of dancing.
We are here for us and for you, spend a year together and maybe something unique will happen again.
On September 21 and 22, we are already preparing this year's first guest workshop. More on that soon - but we can already mention the unique prima ballerina of the Rijeka ballet ensemble, Maria Matarantz de las Herras, who performed the role of Juliet in the ballet Romeo and Juliet at this year's Ljubljana summer festival Balletne noci and impressed both the audience and professional dance critics . But this time she won't be alone!
