Workshops with Adell Bridges


Adell Bridges is an international yoga teacher and handstand expert, health consultant and author who grew up in Mississippi, moved to the UK and discovered yoga after a few years of aimless wandering through life.


She has taught yoga in 25 countries around the world. She continues to further her education in various areas of mindfulness and movement.


Adell is a self-proclaimed yoga enthusiast and uses her degree in psychology, along with her training in functional neurology, to teach yoga and movement.


She now lives in the UK and shares her love of mindful movement with her online community at  www.MoveWithAdell.com

NERVES OF STEEL: AN INTRODUCTION TO NERVE MOBILIZATION (some knowledge of anatomy recommended; detailed and technical, fun and exciting)

Stretch your nerves?! Yes, that’s right. Just like muscles and fascia, your nerves need to move – and when they do, magic happens. Think: less pain, more mobility and a surprising increase in strength (yes, really). In this workshop, we’ll explore key nerve pathways and learn simple, enjoyable ways to mobilize them. The workout is fun, science-backed and incredibly easy to incorporate into your yoga or cool-down routine. Get ready for some serious A-HA moments.

HANDSTANDS AND BRAIN CONNECTIONS (all levels of yoga knowledge; with some challenging exercises and theory, still fun)

Handstands start in your head – literally. Your brain is running the show, so let it talk to your body in a way that actually helps you turn your head. In this workshop, we’ll break down the real basics of handstands – clear, simple, and no walls. Expect a fun mix of movement and brief theory that will boost your confidence, hone your technique, and prepare you for professional leg lifts.

A favorite because they cover everything you need to confidently do handstands, confidently fall, and learn how to hold your handstand longer and longer. These exercises create a great foundation for building your handstand practice, whether you're just starting out or already a confident handstander! We'll go over each exercise, why it's SO AMAZING, and how to incorporate it into your yoga practice so you can DO them and not have them sitting on your to-do list day after day.

HELLO TO THE SWING - BUILD YOUR BALANCE MUSCLES (all levels of yoga; moderate physical activity, intense brain use)

Balance isn't just a yogic asset - it's a superpower. Yoga is great for balance, but why settle for "pretty good" when you could be amazing? In this workshop, we'll delve into the vestibular system (your inner ear) and explore fun, practical ways to practice balance - on one leg, on your hands, or whatever else life throws at you. These tools aren't just for now - they'll help you maintain stability and strength for years to come. Expect science-backed exercises and a new way of thinking about balance on (and off) the mat.

YOUR NEW OBSESSION: ANKLES, FEET, AND TOES (all levels of yoga; light to moderate physical activity)

Feet: the unsung heroes of your practice (and your life). While everyone is chasing strong core muscles and stretchy hamstrings, your feet and ankles have been quietly doing the hard work—until now. In this workshop, they finally get their moment. We’ll delve into foot and ankle mechanics, explore why one small injury can lead to bigger problems, and learn how to rehabilitate and prepare these vital joints. With a mix of movement and lecture, you’ll leave with practical tools you can immediately incorporate into your yoga practice—because a solid foundation makes everything better.
